Klaas Bijl made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-2. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Adam Angheluță stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Marius Coja showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ciprian Brănescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. If Ciprian Brănescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 67th minute, Gelu Bilașco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 70thth minute of the game Gelu Bilașco who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC HERMANNSTADT's Marius Coja was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Adam Angheluță came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the FC HERMANNSTADT fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adam Angheluță couldn't finish the play. Klaas Bijl made an important save on a dangerous shot by Iustinian Zbereanu in the 75th minute. FC HERMANNSTADT's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
