Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Isac Druga kicked off to start the match. Fabian Mareș came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by JIU Petrosani's Vali Herescu. But to his dismay, Vali Herescu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 12 minutes into the match, Isac Druga had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fabian Mareș. Botez's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Isac Druga was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. 17 minutes into the match, Botez's goal looked a bit too open when Isac Druga came free, but Fabian Mareș reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fabian Mareș made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isac Druga in the 26th minute of play. JIU Petrosani's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Iustin Buta in the 27th minute. Fabian Mareș took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vali Herescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fabian Mareș made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isac Druga in the 30th minute of play. Damian Postolache's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sorin Gogu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. Fabian Mareș took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vali Herescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 38 played minutes Botez got a freekick which was hit by Irinel Voinescu. Isac Druga took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fabian Mareș. Fabian Mareș dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isac Druga in the 46th minute of play forced Botez's goalkeeper Fabian Mareș to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fabian Mareș showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vali Herescu in the 47th minute of the match.
The wind increased when Celedonio Mannie made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Celedonio Mannie left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Botez fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. Celedonio Mannie blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sorin Gogu having to make a save. Fabian Mareș made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Vali Herescu sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Botez booed when JIU Petrosani was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sever Minteuan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paul Bologan might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sorin Gogu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Paul Bologan ran back to his position shaking his head. Fabian Mareș made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sever Minteuan in the 62nd minute of play. A collision led to JIU Petrosani getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Isac Druga hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, JIU Petrosani's Cornel Rogoz got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Fabian Mareș made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vali Herescu in the 75th minute. Fabian Mareș took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isac Druga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Irinel Voinescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Irinel Voinescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sorin Gogu having to interfere. In the 87th match minute, Botez was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Irinel Voinescu to maneuver through the defense. Vali Herescu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Fabian Mareș made a huge save. After 93 minutes, Damian Postolache mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Botez and the JIU Petrosani players grew even worse after the yellow card. Damian Postolache kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. 94 minutes into the match, Botez's goal looked a bit too open when Vali Herescu came free, but Fabian Mareș reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. JIU Petrosani were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Botez's much stronger midfield.
