The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Cristi Zmărăndescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iosif Enache in the 4th minute of play. If Dadá Gaspar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Peticei booed when FC Red Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gigi Zbârnea didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cristi Zmărăndescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iosif Enache, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dorel Dichiseanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dadá Gaspar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Dadá Gaspar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 25 played minutes FC Red Team got a freekick which was hit by Laurențiu Panaitoiu. Dorel Dichiseanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dadá Gaspar in the 31st minute of the match. 33 minutes into the match, Dadá Gaspar dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Dorel Dichiseanu, 3-0. Cristi Zmărăndescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Laurențiu Dejeu in the 37th minute of the match. Cristi Zmărăndescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iosif Enache, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. When Dadá Gaspar came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Peticei fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dadá Gaspar couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, FC Red Team's Dorel Dichiseanu got control of the ball when Stelian Maghiran tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dadá Gaspar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Stelian Maghiran who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 47thth minute tested the skills of Dorel Dichiseanu when he managed to save the team from getting behind.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Laurențiu Dejeu to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Dadá Gaspar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Peticei fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. After having played for 56 minutes, Stelian Maghiran managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Peticei's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stelian Maghiran was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stelian Maghiran in the 61st minute of play forced FC Red Team's goalkeeper Dorel Dichiseanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dadá Gaspar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Dorel Dichiseanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 67th minute Dadá Gaspar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dorel Dichiseanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 70thth minute of the game Dadá Gaspar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Red Team's Dorel Dichiseanu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 71 played minutes FC Red Team got a freekick which was hit by Horia Erbașu. 74 minutes into the game, Dadá Gaspar cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Dorel Dichiseanu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, FC Red Team's Denis Dinu got a free kick in the 79th minute. Grigore Găvănescu, 80 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 84th minute, Alfons Benetis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 96 minutes into the match, Dadá Gaspar notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of FC Red Team's Dorel Dichiseanu. Dorel Dichiseanu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
