Through an outstanding action, after 14 minutes, Gică Moga successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After a rather tough play, f.c. bacau's Ionel Donecea got a free kick in the 16th minute. Codruț Sorin struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Gică Moga didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CEAHLAUL 72. 22 minutes into the match, CEAHLAUL 72's Gigel Piţurcă sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gică Moga narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 23rd minute, Nistor Emilianu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 24 played minutes f.c. bacau got a freekick which was hit by Dragoş Andriescu. CEAHLAUL 72's Aurelian Tutuianu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Petrică Bâru in the 28th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Gigel Piţurcă kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gică Moga. That made the score 2-0 in the 33 minute of play. Dragoş Andriescu hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Nistor Emilianu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Codruț Sorin came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the CEAHLAUL 72 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Codruț Sorin couldn't finish the play. Gică Moga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Codruț Sorin in the 45th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Petrică Bâru in the 46th minute of play forced CEAHLAUL 72's goalkeeper Aurelian Tutuianu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. f.c. bacau were awarded a corner in the 48th minute after CEAHLAUL 72's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Dragoş Andriescu took the corner. After taking down the ball on f.c. bacau's corner Cosmin Hizo fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Aurelian Tutuianu quite easily take care of the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Teodor Mazilu made the kick off in the second half. The corner led f.c. bacau's Dragoş Andriescu to fire away a dangerous shot which Aurelian Tutuianu despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. CEAHLAUL 72's Aurelian Tutuianu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teodor Mazilu in the 57th minute of play. When CEAHLAUL 72's Nistor Emilianu in the 58th minute got a chance for a shot 58th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Gică Moga was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some careless play in the f.c. bacau defense, Nistor Emilianu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gică Moga. The f.c. bacau fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gică Moga should have stopped the shot. Nistor Emilianu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. CEAHLAUL 72's supporters rose to their feet, but Nistor Emilianu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gică Moga breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. CEAHLAUL 72's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
