Petruț Ardelean took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Virgil Necula, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tufenii's Horea Nedelciu was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 39th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. In the 48th minute the ball was on its way in behind Super Nova's goalkeeper Petruț Ardelean, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Virgil Necula to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Tufenii's zone, Valer Goșa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emanuel Avacariței came out of the goal and Valer Goșa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gigel Macovescu scored 2-0 in the 58th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Petruț Ardelean, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gigel Macovescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Petruț Ardelean made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Virgil Necula in the 68th minute of play. After 69 minutes Super Nova's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luca Mischie who took care of the corner kick. Tufenii's Luca Mischie was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Petruț Ardelean in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 70 minutes, Valer Goșa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Super Nova and the Tufenii players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Super Nova getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Valer Goșa hit a great ball. Virgil Necula struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Petruț Ardelean didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tufenii. Virgil Necula received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Petruț Ardelean tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 85 minutes, Gigel Macovescu put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Petruț Ardelean. In the 90th minute, one of Tufenii:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Tufenii. When the match had been going on for 92 minutes, Super Nova's Sergiu Panescu got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Emanuel Avacariței. In the 98th match minute, Tufenii was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Virgil Necula to maneuver through the defense. Tufenii were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Super Nova for a fine match.
