Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Liviu Niculcea might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luca Alexandroae. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Liviu Niculcea ran back to his position shaking his head. When the match clock showed 10 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Mircea Azamfirei sped through Urdesti's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Luca Alexandroae. Andrei Luca who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 15thth minute tested the skills of Gheorghe Baștină when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Gheorghe Baștină made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Ovidiu Tărbac sent off a good shot on target. Marcel Boacă hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. 21 minutes into the match, Chilii AC's goal looked a bit too open when Andrei Luca came free, but Gheorghe Baștină reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ovidiu Tărbac's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 23rdth minute, Gheorghe Baștină skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Pompiliu Vieru charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pompiliu Vieru the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 27 played minutes Chilii AC got a freekick which was hit by Pompiliu Vieru. Andrei Luca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Gheorghe Baștină tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Andrei Luca was extremely unlucky when he, in the 33rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Ovidiu Tărbac recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nicodim Zbârlea charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nicodim Zbârlea the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Leonard Căplescu, 39 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 41st minute Mircea Azamfirei shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luca Alexandroae saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 42nd minute, Ovidiu Tărbac fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Gheorghe Baștină, passed just outside the right post. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mircea Azamfirei to strike the kick off in the second half. Ovidiu Tărbac fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gheorghe Baștină having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Chilii AC's zone, Andrei Luca stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gheorghe Baștină came out of the goal and Andrei Luca tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Andrei Luca fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Urdesti's protests and gave Andrei Luca a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Urdesti getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Andrei Luca hit a great ball. In the 67th minute, Liviu Niculcea got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gheorghe Baștină made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ovidiu Tărbac in the 69th minute of play. Marcel Boacă kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. In the 71st minute, Nicodim Zbârlea ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gheorghe Baștină was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Ovidiu Tărbac received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Gheorghe Baștină tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Urdesti's Andrei Luca got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Mircea Azamfirei came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Chilii AC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mircea Azamfirei couldn't finish the play. Luca Alexandroae made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mircea Azamfirei in the 85th minute of play. In the 89th minute Andrei Luca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gheorghe Baștină saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luca Alexandroae showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mircea Azamfirei, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Andrei Luca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
