Matei Şimandan came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Morughiol's Leontin Spiridon. But to his dismay, Leontin Spiridon quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. If Leontin Spiridon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Bejenestii CSS booed when Morughiol was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eusebiu Ciomag didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nichifor Mihălțan was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Corneliu Miroiu. Mugur Andronescu hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. If Felix Papadache had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Albert Burdujan was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 36 minutes into the match. 36 minutes into the game, one of Morughiol:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Morughiol:s Nichifor Mihălțan showed great skill when he stopped Corneliu Miroiu:s penalty. Matei Şimandan came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by Morughiol's Leontin Spiridon. But to his dismay, Leontin Spiridon quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leontin Spiridon was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, Leontin Spiridon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 55 minutes into the game, Mircea Burdujan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Morughiol's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bejenestii CSS the free kick. In the 54th minute, one of Morughiol:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Morughiol. Dan Podgoreanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nichifor Mihălțan having to interfere. The supporters of Bejenestii CSS booed when Morughiol was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teodor Alexiu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leontin Spiridon's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 67thth minute, Matei Şimandan skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Felix Papadache had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bogdan Prunaru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 81 minutes, Teodor Alexiu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Morughiol's supporters crossed their fingers, but Teodor Alexiu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Bejenestii CSS's zone, Costin Crăcană stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Matei Şimandan came out of the goal and Costin Crăcană tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Matei Şimandan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leontin Spiridon in the 87th minute. Nichifor Mihălțan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paul Văduva, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Irinel Oroveanu's late challenge caught a Morughiol's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Irinel Oroveanu helped the player get up and apologised. After 95 played minutes Bejenestii CSS got a freekick which was hit by Irinel Oroveanu. A hard shot 98 in the game by Leontin Spiridon from a close distance when the talented Matei Şimandan managed to make a qualified save. Bejenestii CSS's players were relieved. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
