Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Escul's Niculae Amânaloae started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 5 minutes, Felix Oroian managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Casoca AS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Felix Oroian was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind Escul's goalkeeper Manuel Maftei, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Paul Piersic fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Maftei having to interfere. 20 minutes into the match, Escul's goal looked a bit too open when Luca Gaciu came free, but Manuel Maftei reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
With a couple of smart ball manuevers Niculae Amânaloae in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eduard Mantu saved Casoca AS from getting behind. In the 53rd minute, Emilian Movileanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Escul's Eduard Azamfirei tried to score from far away in the 57th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Casoca AS's Eduard Mantu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niculae Amânaloae in the 60th minute of play. Cezar Levițchi kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Paul Piersic in the 65thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Manuel Maftei, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 66 played minutes Casoca AS got a freekick which was hit by Felix Cristea. The audience thought a goal was coming when Paul Piersic got free with Manuel Maftei in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Luca Gaciu struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Manuel Maftei didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Casoca AS. Manuel Maftei made an important save on a dangerous shot by Paul Piersic in the 88th minute. Escul's Nichifor Tilea got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Luca Gaciu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Manuel Maftei was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game. If Luca Gaciu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match was over Casoca AS could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Escul throughout the match.
