Rareș Cângea's late challenge caught a Daneasa's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rareș Cângea helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Daneasa booed when Jimbolia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rareș Cângea didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sorin Leucuța could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Laurențiu Stafie made a huge save. 8 minutes into the match, Jimbolia's goalkeeper Laurențiu Stafie had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sorin Leucuța. Laurențiu Stafie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iurie Zotincă in the 10th minute of play. A collision led to Jimbolia getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Silviu Cezariu hit a great ball. In the 15th minute of the match Iustinian Giurchescu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Laurențiu Stafie skillfully saved the ball. After 17 played minutes Daneasa got a freekick which was hit by Nistor Mușetescu. Marius Stelea kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. When Jimbolia's Rareș Cângea in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Daneasa's goalie prevented a goal. After having played for 32 minutes, Felix Anton managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jimbolia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Felix Anton was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Iurie Zotincă's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Laurențiu Stafie read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. In the 37th minute, Iurie Zotincă got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Calistrat Pătru showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rareș Cângea, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. In the 44th match minute, Daneasa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nistor Mușetescu to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Daneasa's zone, Felix Anton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Calistrat Pătru came out of the goal and Felix Anton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
Laurențiu Stafie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sorin Leucuța, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Marius Stelea charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marius Stelea the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 60th minute, Marius Stelea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jimbolia's Laurențiu Stafie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sorin Leucuța in the 68th minute of play. Sorin Leucuța fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Laurențiu Stafie having to interfere. Daneasa's Calistrat Pătru proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Daneasa from getting a goal against them. Laurențiu Stafie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iurie Zotincă in the 78th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iurie Zotincă in the 80th minute of play forced Jimbolia's goalkeeper Laurențiu Stafie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Felix Anton might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Calistrat Pătru. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Felix Anton ran back to his position shaking his head. Iustinian Giurchescu walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. In the 93rd match minute, Jimbolia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silviu Cezariu to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Jimbolia's Silviu Cezariu got a free kick in the 96th minute. If Sorin Leucuța had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 100th minute, Nistor Mușetescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
