Daniel Amărculesei made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Petre Tunar in the 22nd minute of play. Petre Tunar scored 1-1 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Daniel Amărculesei, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the Tamatei FCM defense, Petrică Arapașu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Daniel Amărculesei. The Tamatei FCM fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Daniel Amărculesei should have stopped the shot. Daniel Amărculesei made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Petre Tunar in the 33rd minute of play. Cezar Ceaușu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Daniel Amărculesei tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 39th minute, Petre Panescu made a precise shot to the right of Iordache Harnagea. Bozeni's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Cezar Ceaușu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Amărculesei having to interfere. After having played for 47 minutes, Petre Tunar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bozeni's supporters crossed their fingers, but Petre Tunar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Aristide Costandache hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Petre Panescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tamatei FCM's supporters rose to their feet, but Petre Panescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Iordache Harnagea breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Aristide Costandache charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aristide Costandache the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Petre Panescu took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Iordache Harnagea. Iordache Harnagea dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. 80 minutes into the match, Bozeni's goal looked a bit too open when Vintilă Muscă came free, but Iordache Harnagea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bozeni's goalkeeper Iordache Harnagea, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Vintilă Muscă sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 92nd minute, Petrică Arapașu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Cezar Ceaușu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Tamatei FCM's Daniel Amărculesei got control of the ball when Aristide Costandache tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tamatei FCM's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
