The tension between the Sanisor and the Cercu players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 4th match minute, Sanisor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valeriu Georgescu to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot 5 in the game by Iurie Duca from a close distance when the talented Mugurel Herescu managed to make a qualified save. Sanisor's players were relieved. Mugurel Herescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martin Stănciulescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Valeriu Georgescu kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Basarab Cezar, 14 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. When Nicu Petruț came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Sanisor fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nicu Petruț couldn't finish the play. 21 minutes into the match, Sanisor's Nicu Petruț sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eduard Mâinea narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mugurel Herescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudiu Boroș in the 22nd minute of play. When Martin Stănciulescu came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Cercu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Martin Stănciulescu couldn't finish the play. In the 24th minute, Iurie Duca got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Martin Stănciulescu was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 27th minute. Cercu's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 30 minutes into the game, Sanisor's Paul Melinte nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eduard Mâinea made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 36th minute Martin Stănciulescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mugurel Herescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 40th minute, Iurie Duca got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Paul Melinte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
Nicu Petruț charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nicu Petruț the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 52 played minutes Sanisor got a freekick which was hit by Nicu Petruț. Iurie Duca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Mugurel Herescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Martin Stănciulescu struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Mugurel Herescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cercu. If Nicu Petruț had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cercu's Eduard Mâinea proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Cercu from getting a goal against them. Martin Stănciulescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Iurie Duca came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Cercu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Iurie Duca couldn't finish the play. Eduard Mâinea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paul Melinte, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Nicu Petruț received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Eduard Mâinea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Cercu supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Sanisor's performance. The match ended with a win for Sanisor.
