Iurie Dumitrescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Augustin Văduvescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Toader Leu kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. In the 22nd minute, Prejoiul UFC's Victor Petruescu dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Augustin Văduvescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Iurie Dumitrescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Grigore Dragnea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 35 minutes into the match, Prejoiul UFC's goal looked a bit too open when Augustin Văduvescu came free, but Iurie Dumitrescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Moise Frumuzache took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 36th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Iurie Dumitrescu. Prejoiul UFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Grigore Dragnea in the 40th minute of play forced Prejoiul UFC's goalkeeper Iurie Dumitrescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victor Petruescu in the 45th minute of play forced Racoti's goalkeeper Ferdinand Ispir to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Prejoiul UFC booed when Racoti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Horia Chindriș didn't get a good kick on the ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Grigore Dragnea to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Racoti's goal looked a bit too open when Gigi Ştefoi came free, but Ferdinand Ispir reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Augustin Văduvescu got free with Iurie Dumitrescu in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 59th minute, Dumitru Mocanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Grigore Dragnea in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Iurie Dumitrescu saved Prejoiul UFC from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Racoti's zone, Victor Petruescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ferdinand Ispir came out of the goal and Victor Petruescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Gigi Ştefoi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Prejoiul UFC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Racoti had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
