Constantin Liciu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ulmeni. In the 4th minute, Eric Aanuţei got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Constantin Liciu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sabin Rotariu in the 6th minute of play. In the 8th minute of the match Felix Marin sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ştefan Micu skillfully saved the ball. Ulmeni's Ştefan Micu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mugur Chițac in the 9th minute of play. Mugur Chițac sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eric Aanuţei got free with Constantin Liciu in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Iustinian Săvoiu came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Ulmeni fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Iustinian Săvoiu couldn't finish the play.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mugur Chițac was the one to do the kick off. Aron Titulescu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Ştefan Micu made a huge save. In the 55thth minute of the game Eric Aanuţei who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Iegheriste AC's Constantin Liciu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sabin Rotariu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Constantin Liciu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eric Aanuţei recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eric Aanuţei in the 87th minute of play forced Iegheriste AC's goalkeeper Constantin Liciu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mugur Chițac recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Iegheriste AC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
