Sergiu Simionescu spun around in front of the goal 3 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Dambroca's goal. Nae Bologa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Petre Suluțiu, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Horaţiu Ionițoiu hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Alexandru Aluneanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sergiu Simionescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Pompiliu Bernea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexandru Aluneanu having to interfere. Teodor Rebengiuc's late challenge caught a Vasuiu's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Teodor Rebengiuc helped the player get up and apologised. After 21 played minutes Dambroca got a freekick which was hit by Teodor Rebengiuc. Sergiu Simionescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Dambroca's goalkeeper Alexandru Aluneanu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sergiu Simionescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 34 minutes, Pompiliu Bernea managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vasuiu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pompiliu Bernea was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dambroca's Alexandru Aluneanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sergiu Simionescu in the 36th minute of play. 40 minutes into the game, Flavius Nicea cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Alexandru Aluneanu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Pompiliu Bernea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alexandru Aluneanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pompiliu Bernea in the 46th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sergiu Simionescu made a kick off. If Sergiu Simionescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dambroca's Teodor Rebengiuc got his second yellow card of the match in the 62nd minute. The referee ordered Teodor Rebengiuc off the ground. After 68 played minutes, Vasuiu's Ivan Ştiopul shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Alexandru Aluneanu came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Vasuiu reached it. After a defensive mix-up in Dambroca's zone, Pompiliu Bernea stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alexandru Aluneanu came out of the goal and Pompiliu Bernea tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 74 minutes into the match, Vasuiu's Ivan Ştiopul broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Alexandru Aluneanu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sergiu Simionescu's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. Pompiliu Bernea could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Alexandru Aluneanu made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Sergiu Simionescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vasuiu's supporters rose to their feet, but Sergiu Simionescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alexandru Aluneanu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pompiliu Bernea recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dambroca's Alexandru Aluneanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sergiu Simionescu in the 91st minute of play. 92 minutes into the match, Vasuiu's Pompiliu Bernea sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alexandru Aluneanu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 92nd minute, Rareș Ghercioiu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 93rd minute, Sergiu Simionescu fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Vasuiu played a much better game than Dambroca and deserved their victory. The Dambroca players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
