An unexpectedly hard shot by Aristide Ciompec in the 8th minute of play forced Hurjueni SC's goalkeeper Rareș Zoreanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 11 minutes in the game, Aristide Ciompec fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Rareș Zoreanu having to interfere. Rareș Zoreanu came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Rascruci UFC's Dinu Năsturel. But to his dismay, Dinu Năsturel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marcu Stafie during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Marcu Stafie kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Rascruci UFC defense, Ionuț Muraru kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cătălin Răica. The Rascruci UFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cătălin Răica should have stopped the shot. After 32 played minutes Rascruci UFC got a freekick which was hit by Marcel Bodea. After a defensive mix-up in Rascruci UFC's zone, Cosmin Beca stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cătălin Răica came out of the goal and Cosmin Beca tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ionuț Muraru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cătălin Răica having to interfere. Rascruci UFC's Cătălin Răica played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mugur Cigu in the 37th minute of play. 39 minutes into the match, Hurjueni SC's goalkeeper Rareș Zoreanu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eric Nicolaescu. Hurjueni SC's Rareș Zoreanu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Hurjueni SC from getting a goal against them. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 48 minutes into the match, Hurjueni SC's Mugur Cigu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cătălin Răica narrowly saved just below the crossbar.

In the 52nd minute, Mugur Cigu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cătălin Răica was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Mugur Cigu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ionuț Muraru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Cătălin Răica tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dinu Năsturel struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Rareș Zoreanu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rascruci UFC. With a little luck, Rascruci UFC's Cătălin Răica got control of the ball when Mugur Cigu tried to sneak it across the goal line. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 84th minute, Ionuț Muraru got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ionuț Muraru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Mircea Tărău hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. The supporters of Hurjueni SC booed when Rascruci UFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eduard Galușcă didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 98th minute, Cosmin Beca sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Rascruci UFC's Cătălin Răica didn't even have to move. The Hurjueni SC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Rascruci UFC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
