David Mardare took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emilian Moți, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rau SC's David Mardare played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emilian Moți in the 11th minute of play. 12 minutes into the match, Huruestii's goalkeeper Dorel Văduvescu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Traian Mititelu. Cornel Nițu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Teodor Popa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dorel Văduvescu was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. After 22 played minutes Rau SC got a freekick which was hit by Bogdan Runcu. David Mardare came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Huruestii's Emilian Moți. But to his dismay, Emilian Moți quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. If Emilian Moți had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 35 minutes, Traian Mititelu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rau SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Traian Mititelu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Teodor Popa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 39th minute of the match, Traian Mititelu got a very nice opportunity to score, but Dorel Văduvescu was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Traian Mititelu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dorel Văduvescu having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ferdinand Ciolac stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Traian Mititelu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dorel Văduvescu having to interfere. 59 minutes into the match, Rau SC's goal looked a bit too open when Ferdinand Ciolac came free, but David Mardare reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ferdinand Ciolac fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Mardare having to interfere. In the 65th minute, Emilian Moți made a precise shot to the right of David Mardare. Rau SC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. After a defensive mix-up in Rau SC's zone, Emilian Moți stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. David Mardare came out of the goal and Emilian Moți tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Damian Diaconu fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Huruestii's protests and gave Damian Diaconu a yellow card for diving instead. In the 73rd match minute, Huruestii was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Damian Diaconu to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mihai Codrescu during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
