Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tudor Gherasim started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the game, Trochesti's Corneliu Mutu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mircea Chifu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Sebastian Donose made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tudor Gherasim in the 8th minute of play. Trochesti's Sebastian Donose played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgar Cicortaș in the 12th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Corneliu Mutu got free with Mircea Chifu in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Barcul AC's Mircea Chifu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iustinian Ilinca in the 16th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Ilie Doroftei managed to get in a good position for a shot. Trochesti's supporters rose to their feet, but Ilie Doroftei was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mircea Chifu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Barcul AC's Edgar Cicortaș got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 31 minutes of play, Trochesti's Corneliu Mutu made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mircea Chifu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Sebastian Donose took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tudor Gherasim, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Corneliu Mutu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 40 minutes into the match, Trochesti's goal looked a bit too open when Edgar Cicortaș came free, but Sebastian Donose reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Corneliu Mutu struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Mircea Chifu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Trochesti. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tudor Gherasim in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sebastian Donose prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Mircea Chifu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Corneliu Mutu, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Felix Loga kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Trochesti's Corneliu Mutu got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In a very dangerous position, a player in Trochesti fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 76th minute. Penalty! Sorin Brezeanu walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Sebastian Donose showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tudor Gherasim in the 92nd minute of the match. With an all-out effort, Barcul AC's Sebastian Donose threw himself towards the right post 95 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Tudor Gherasim, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Iustinian Ilinca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Trochesti's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
