Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Boldut CSS's Maxim Buciuman started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Maxim Buciuman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mircea Chifu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 3rd minute of play. Teodor Cupșa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mircea Chifu having to interfere. In the 21st match minute, Barcul AC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mugur Stoleru to maneuver through the defense. Boldut CSS's Ernest Melinescu shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 22nd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Mircea Chifu but with some difficulty. Edgar Cicortaș received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Cristinel Trif tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 26 minutes into the match, Barcul AC's goalkeeper Mircea Chifu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Felix Cartiș. Edgar Cicortaș fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristinel Trif having to interfere. Tudor Gherasim recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tudor Gherasim in the 34th minute of play forced Boldut CSS's goalkeeper Cristinel Trif to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 36 minutes, Felix Cartiș managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Boldut CSS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Felix Cartiș was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Edgar Tapalagă fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Barcul AC's protests and gave Edgar Tapalagă a yellow card for diving instead. In the 38th minute, Edgar Tapalagă hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 41st minute Edgar Cicortaș shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristinel Trif saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 42nd minute, Tudor Gherasim ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cristinel Trif was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Cristinel Trif showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tudor Gherasim in the 47th minute of the match. A collision led to Boldut CSS getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Emanuel Maghiran hit a great ball. Tudor Gherasim might have been able to make a better finish in the 49th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cristinel Trif. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tudor Gherasim ran back to his position shaking his head. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tudor Gherasim stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 62nd minute, Barcul AC's Sorin Brezeanu seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Sorin Brezeanu the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Barcul AC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Sorin Brezeanu had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 61st minute, one of Barcul AC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Barcul AC. Ernest Melinescu placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Boldut CSS's Felix Cartiș got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Felix Cartiș came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Boldut CSS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felix Cartiș couldn't finish the play. If Maxim Buciuman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristinel Trif took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mugur Stoleru, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Felix Cartiș in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mircea Chifu saved Barcul AC from getting behind. In the 85th minute, Felix Cartiș got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 89 minutes, Ferdinand Glodeanu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Barcul AC and the Boldut CSS players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 90th match minute, Barcul AC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ferdinand Glodeanu to maneuver through the defense. Ernest Melinescu, 92 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Maxim Buciuman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mircea Chifu having to interfere.
