Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Maxim Baniu in the 2nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Calistrat Robescu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Calistrat Robescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gică Ficsinescu in the 7th minute of the match. Ionică Ipate made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mugurel Rădoi in the 10th minute. A collision led to Dragutesti getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Gică Ficsinescu hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Balinesti CSS's Lucian Negoescu got a free kick in the 16th minute. After 19 minutes of play, Dragutesti's Maxim Baniu made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Calistrat Robescu was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 22nd minute, Gică Ficsinescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Virgil Vaştag kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Maxim Baniu during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 24th minute, Maxim Baniu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 27th minute, Maxim Baniu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Calistrat Robescu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Ionică Ipate acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 31st minute, took the ball on the long shot from Edgar Geambașu. Gică Ficsinescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Calistrat Robescu having to interfere. Andrei Dorian sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 41 minutes into the match, Dragutesti's goalkeeper Ionică Ipate had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mugurel Rădoi. When Rareș Bognar fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dragutesti's protests and gave Rareș Bognar a yellow card for diving instead. After 41 played minutes Dragutesti got a freekick which was hit by Rareș Bognar. Gigel Nasta took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 42nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ionică Ipate. Dragutesti's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Calistrat Robescu came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by Dragutesti's Maxim Baniu. But to his dismay, Maxim Baniu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gică Ficsinescu was the one to do the kick off. If Mugurel Rădoi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maxim Baniu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Calistrat Robescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ferdinand Vuşcan in the 64th minute of play forced Dragutesti's goalkeeper Ionică Ipate to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ionică Ipate showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ferdinand Vuşcan, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Calistrat Robescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gică Ficsinescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Dragutesti's zone, Mugurel Rădoi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ionică Ipate came out of the goal and Mugurel Rădoi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 86th minute, Andrei Dorian hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ferdinand Vuşcan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ionică Ipate having to make a save. In the 88th minute Ferdinand Vuşcan suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. After 88 minutes, Panait Costa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dragutesti and the Balinesti CSS players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Balinesti CSS booed when Dragutesti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Panait Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 98th match minute, Balinesti CSS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emanuel Bocu to maneuver through the defense. Albert Gogea took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 99th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Calistrat Robescu. Balinesti CSS's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The Dragutesti supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Dragutesti would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
