The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The Enosesti CF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dumitru Căplescu should have stopped the shot. Dumitru Căplescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Petre Tilincă, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Enosesti CF's Nechifor Stroe got a free kick in the 27th minute. Șerban Piersic kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Dinu Blajovici struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Dumitru Căplescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Comanda CS. Radu Coraș fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dumitru Căplescu having to interfere.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mihail Beraru to strike the kick off in the second half. Comanda CS's Marcel Codrea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silviu Burdea in the 52nd minute of play. In the 55th match minute, Comanda CS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dinu Blajovici to maneuver through the defense. If Mihail Beraru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Silviu Burdea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Marcel Codrea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mihail Beraru in the 63rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Horaţiu Hrean in the 75th minute of play forced Enosesti CF's goalkeeper Dumitru Căplescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Dorel Stanca fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Enosesti CF's protests and gave Dorel Stanca a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Enosesti CF's Dorel Stanca got a free kick in the 77th minute.
