The supporters of Studinetul CSS booed when Pieptani CSM was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marian Enătescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Teodor Frânculescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gigel Dudea having to interfere. Iulian Comșa was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Vasile Gavra. In the 20th minute Studinetul CSS were awarded a corner. Dinu Zăgănescu went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 22nd minute, Denis Lăzan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fabian Buciu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Isac Pârlog during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 26 played minutes Studinetul CSS got a freekick which was hit by Isac Pârlog. Mugurel Demian sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Denis Lăzan in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Iulian Comșa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Teodor Frânculescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Teodor Frânculescu to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes in the game, Teodor Frânculescu fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Gigel Dudea having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Fabian Buciu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pieptani CSM's supporters rose to their feet, but Fabian Buciu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gigel Dudea breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Teodor Frânculescu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gigel Dudea read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. 58 minutes into the match, Mugurel Demian had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Iulian Comșa. Pieptani CSM's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mugurel Demian was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Iulian Comșa showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Fabian Buciu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gigel Dudea having to interfere. When Fabian Buciu came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Pieptani CSM fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabian Buciu couldn't finish the play. Adam Bădilescu kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Gigel Dudea didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Pieptani CSM's Fabian Buciu shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-1 in the ordered_time% minute. Studinetul CSS's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
