The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd match minute, Budesti CSM was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nichifor Vulcan to maneuver through the defense. 4 minutes into the match, Sacatura's Romeo Teodorescu broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Robert Muncelean showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicolae Dobre, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mădălin Nebunu in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nichifor Păun saved Sacatura from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicolae Dobre in the 10th minute of play forced Budesti CSM's goalkeeper Robert Muncelean to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
