In the 7th minute Nicolae Dobre shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Remus Iosif saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ilie Corbeanu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nichifor Păun read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. 11 minutes into the game, Doru Gruescu lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Nichifor Păun. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Doru Gruescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Schender's supporters rose to their feet, but Doru Gruescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nichifor Păun breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nicolae Dobre scored 1-1 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Remus Iosif, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Sacatura booed when Schender was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Codrin Enciulescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Isac Bărcăuan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remus Iosif having to interfere. Silviu Piersic received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Nichifor Păun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Doru Gruescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 41 minutes, Silviu Piersic managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Schender's supporters crossed their fingers, but Silviu Piersic was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Doru Gruescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. A very good chance for a goal. 47 minutes into the match, Sacatura's goalkeeper Nichifor Păun had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Silviu Piersic. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nicolae Dobre stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Nichifor Păun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Doru Gruescu in the 53rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silviu Piersic in the 55th minute of play forced Sacatura's goalkeeper Nichifor Păun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nicolae Dobre sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anton Pătru kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. If Isac Bărcăuan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Schender's Remus Iosif played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicolae Dobre in the 64th minute of play. Silviu Piersic fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nichifor Păun having to interfere. Nichifor Păun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silviu Piersic in the 69th minute of play. A collision led to Schender getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Anton Pătru hit a great ball. The goalkeeper, Remus Iosif, was totally fooled by Sacatura's Romeo Teodorescu, who 86 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. 98 minutes into the match, Schender's goalkeeper Remus Iosif had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Isac Bărcăuan. The Sacatura players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
