Iurie Pintilie hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. When the match clock showed 9 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Toader Coposu sped through Ferneziu's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Marcu Ciolac. Ferneziu's Marcu Ciolac played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mugurel Baștină in the 12th minute of play. Iustin Macamete struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Leonard Apopei didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ferneziu. After 17 played minutes Ferneziu got a freekick which was hit by Iurie Pintilie. Matei Horodincă fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonard Apopei having to interfere. Liviu Brânzaș hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Leonard Apopei showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matei Horodincă, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Marcu Ciolac showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mugurel Baștină in the 25th minute of the match. In the 27th minute Toader Coposu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcu Ciolac saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Codruț Curăreanu during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 28th match minute, Ferneziu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Codruț Curăreanu to maneuver through the defense. After 35 played minutes, Bivolari FC's Dinu Tomoiu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Marcu Ciolac came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Bivolari FC reached it. Iustin Macamete sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Matei Horodincă managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ferneziu's supporters rose to their feet, but Matei Horodincă was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leonard Apopei breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Matei Horodincă sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Matei Horodincă received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Leonard Apopei tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mugurel Baștină to strike the kick off in the second half. Costică Traianescu's late challenge caught a Bivolari FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Costică Traianescu helped the player get up and apologised. Costică Traianescu kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. 53 minutes into the game, Iurie Pintilie was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ferneziu's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bivolari FC the free kick. 54 minutes into the match, Bivolari FC's Cazimir Ichim broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Ferneziu's Iurie Pintilie got his second yellow card of the match in the 60th minute. The referee ordered Iurie Pintilie off the ground. Iurie Pintilie kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. In the 62nd minute, one of Ferneziu:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ferneziu. Marcu Ciolac had in the 64thth minute some difficulties stopping Cazimir Ichim's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 64 minutes into the game, Cazimir Ichim cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Marcu Ciolac was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Leonard Apopei made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Iustin Macamete sent off a good shot on target. Toader Coposu charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Toader Coposu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Toader Coposu kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Leonard Apopei made an important save on a dangerous shot by Iustin Macamete in the 79th minute. After 80 played minutes Bivolari FC got a freekick which was hit by Francisc Caranică. In the 82nd minute of the match Iustinian Petruescu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Leonard Apopei skillfully saved the ball. If Toader Coposu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Toader Coposu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Iustin Macamete received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Leonard Apopei tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Bivolari FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Ferneziu had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
