Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Rareș Moculescu made the kick off and thus started the match. A collision led to Barnova getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Florin Tăgorean hit a great ball. In the 5thth minute of the game Rareș Moculescu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Barnova's Niculae Şerbănescu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 6 minutes, Octavian Duca managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hulesti's supporters crossed their fingers, but Octavian Duca was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Hulesti's Rareș Moculescu in the 6th minute got a chance for a shot 6th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Barnova's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, Barnova's Gigi Neguțu got a free kick in the 7th minute. In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind Barnova's goalkeeper Niculae Şerbănescu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rareș Moculescu in the 11th minute of play forced Barnova's goalkeeper Niculae Şerbănescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ionel Reznic scored 1-0 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nae Chificeac, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 26th minute Rareș Moculescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Niculae Şerbănescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Florin Tăgorean charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Florin Tăgorean the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 28 played minutes Barnova got a freekick which was hit by Florin Tăgorean. If Octavian Duca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 32 minutes, Toader Gavrilescu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hulesti and the Barnova players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Hulesti's Toader Gavrilescu got a free kick in the 32nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Hulesti's zone, Ionel Reznic stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nae Chificeac came out of the goal and Ionel Reznic tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 39th minute, Ionel Reznic got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ion Tatomir kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Niculae Şerbănescu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rareș Moculescu's shot from short distance in the 49th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dumitru Slătineanu made a kick off. 61 minutes into the match, Barnova's goalkeeper Niculae Şerbănescu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Octavian Duca. A collision led to Hulesti getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Toader Gavrilescu hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Hulesti's zone, Ionel Reznic stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nae Chificeac came out of the goal and Ionel Reznic tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hulesti's Nae Chificeac played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dumitru Slătineanu in the 68th minute of play. When Octavian Duca came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Hulesti fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Octavian Duca couldn't finish the play. Ionel Reznic received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Nae Chificeac tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ionel Reznic sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hulesti's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
