Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Avram Gliga took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 5th minute Carasova were awarded a corner. Eduard Nisporeanu went to the cornerflag to take it. Costică Băieșu kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Carasova's Eduard Nisporeanu tried to score from far away in the 10th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Avram Gliga in the 11th minute of play forced FC Știința's goalkeeper Dorin Cezariu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ionuț Romeo charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ionuț Romeo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ionuț Romeo hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. In the 21st match minute, FC Știința was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ionuț Romeo to maneuver through the defense. Eduard Banciu spun around in front of the goal 26 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Carasova's goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Avram Gliga in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dorin Cezariu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match clock showed 30 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Avram Gliga sped through FC Știința's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Dorin Cezariu. Gigi Stamatiu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Dorin Cezariu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 36 minutes, Dorin Cezariu successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 39th minute Avram Gliga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dorin Cezariu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Gigi Stamatiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FC Știința's Ionuț Romeo got his second yellow card of the match in the 42nd minute. The referee ordered Ionuț Romeo off the ground. After 43 played minutes FC Știința got a freekick which was hit by Ionuț Romeo. 45 minutes into the match, FC Știința's goalkeeper Dorin Cezariu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gigi Stamatiu. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.
The wind increased when Cristinel Diaconu made the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eduard Banciu in the 51st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Adrian Sima prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 54 minutes, Cristinel Diaconu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Știința's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristinel Diaconu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 54th match minute, Carasova was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gavril Morozan to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Carasova's zone, Cristinel Diaconu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adrian Sima came out of the goal and Cristinel Diaconu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Cristinel Diaconu, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 58 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Adrian Sima was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 60th minute, Avram Gliga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Avram Gliga struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Dorin Cezariu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Carasova. Gigi Stamatiu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Dorin Cezariu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to FC Știința getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Claudiu Tolea hit a great ball. In the 71st minute of the match Eduard Nisporeanu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dorin Cezariu skillfully saved the ball. In the 72nd match minute, Carasova was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gavril Morozan to maneuver through the defense. Gigi Stamatiu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dorin Cezariu having to interfere. Dorin Cezariu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gigi Stamatiu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 95th minute, Gavril Morozan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. For all the effort they put into the match, the FC Știința players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Carasova.
