Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Pompiliu Breazu kicked off to start the match. 5 minutes into the match, Viorel Alexiu notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Sag's Dorin Zegreanu. Dorin Zegreanu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Covrigi CSS booed when Sag was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pompiliu Breazu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Răzvan Grigore sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 12 minutes into the match, Covrigi CSS's goalkeeper Corneliu Măgură had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cazimir Moisil. Corneliu Măgură showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pompiliu Breazu, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Răzvan Grigore received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Dorin Zegreanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Corneliu Măgură took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pompiliu Breazu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Răzvan Grigore managed to get in a good position for a shot. Covrigi CSS's supporters rose to their feet, but Răzvan Grigore was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dorin Zegreanu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match clock showed 25 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Emanuel Videanu sped through Sag's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Dorin Zegreanu. If Răzvan Grigore had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pompiliu Breazu in the 32nd minute of play forced Covrigi CSS's goalkeeper Corneliu Măgură to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 34 played minutes Sag got a freekick which was hit by Ionuț Vermeşan. When Răzvan Grigore came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Covrigi CSS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Răzvan Grigore couldn't finish the play. In the 40th minute, Emanuel Videanu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dorin Zegreanu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. If Emanuel Videanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Covrigi CSS booed when Sag was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. David Trapcea didn't get a good kick on the ball. Răzvan Grigore received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Dorin Zegreanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Sag's Dorin Zegreanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Codrin Berca in the 52nd minute of play. After 54 minutes, Moise Neicu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sag and the Covrigi CSS players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Covrigi CSS booed when Sag was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Moise Neicu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcu Cînu's late challenge caught a Covrigi CSS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marcu Cînu helped the player get up and apologised. Covrigi CSS made a substitution. Emanuel Greavu replaced Codrin Berca. In the 63rd match minute, Sag was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcu Cînu to maneuver through the defense. Răzvan Grigore recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Răzvan Grigore fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dorin Zegreanu having to interfere. Covrigi CSS's Corneliu Măgură played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ionuț Vermeşan in the 72nd minute of play. Emanuel Videanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Corneliu Măgură made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pompiliu Breazu in the 89th minute of play. Covrigi CSS's Emanuel Videanu got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 95th minute, Emanuel Videanu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
