After 42 minutes, Iacob Petruescu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Borsanii and the Inginerul Baia Mare FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Inginerul Baia Mare FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Borsanii the free kick. A collision led to Inginerul Baia Mare FC getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Iosif Vasiloiu hit a great ball. Vintilă Aluculesei received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aurelian Tadici couldn't finish the play.
