An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Goiceanu in the 4th minute of play forced Dragoesti's goalkeeper Iurie Cordescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Noua Generație's Mihail Antipa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emilian Miclauș in the 9th minute of play. Mihail Antipa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gelu Gavra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sebastian Honcioiu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 19th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Mihail Antipa. Noua Generație's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Ciprian Hoancă sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Daniel Goiceanu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Adrian Zotincă might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Iurie Cordescu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Adrian Zotincă ran back to his position shaking his head. When Emilian Miclauș came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Dragoesti fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emilian Miclauș couldn't finish the play. Adrian Zotincă sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Horaţiu Cojocaru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 96 minutes, Adrian Zotincă managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Noua Generație's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adrian Zotincă was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Noua Generație had played much better football throughout.
