Bogdan Hosu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Olimpiu Siclovan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Remus Oniga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 16 minutes, Nicodim Movileanu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. BORSA -MM-'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Nicodim Movileanu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 17 played minutes Pungesti AFC got a freekick which was hit by Cezar Minulescu. Olimpiu Siclovan made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 20thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Remus Oniga would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. Florin Rareș recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Florin Rareș had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in BORSA -MM-'s zone, Florin Rareș stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Remus Oniga came out of the goal and Florin Rareș tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Denis Cartianu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 38 minutes into the match, Nicodim Movileanu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bogdan Hosu. Pungesti AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nicodim Movileanu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The audience was convinced that Sabin Diaconescu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bogdan Hosu was relentless in the 48th minute of the game. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nicodim Movileanu to make the kick off. Olimpiu Siclovan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remus Oniga having to interfere. 55 minutes into the game, Stelian Chirea was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Remus Oniga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olimpiu Siclovan, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. In the 83rd minute of the match, Denis Cartianu got a very nice opportunity to score, but Bogdan Hosu was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After 85 minutes, Octavian Buligan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the BORSA -MM- and the Pungesti AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 85th minute, Octavian Buligan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Denis Cartianu got his second yellow card in the match during the 90th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 92 minutes of play, Pungesti AFC's Florin Rareș made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Remus Oniga was left in no man's land by his defense there! The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
