In the 11th minute Remus Tănăsescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ionică Burtea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Praid's Romeo Bălan got a free kick in the 12th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Praid's zone, Costică Berbec stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Haimar Garmendia came out of the goal and Costică Berbec tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 27th minute, Codrin Țepelea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Remus Tănăsescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ionică Burtea having to interfere. Ionică Burtea didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Remus Tănăsescu went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. A collision led to F.C. Praid's Sergiu Lera got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 57 minutes into the match, Sergiu Lera dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ionică Burtea, 0-2. In the 80th minute Tudor Panin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Haimar Garmendia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Remus Tănăsescu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ionică Burtea having to make a save. If Sergiu Lera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
