Tudor Panin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nicu Enachescu having to make a save. Ionică Burtea was a little too slow when Florin Buciuman got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 27th minute. The score was now 2-0. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Vulturii Lipova's goalkeeper Nicu Enachescu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ionică Burtea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Florin Buciuman, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Florin Buciuman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Florin Buciuman to strike the kick off in the second half. Nicolae Iosub hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. In the 60th minute, Iacob Arnăuțoiu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 61 minutes, Florin Buciuman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vulturii Lipova's supporters crossed their fingers, but Florin Buciuman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 63 minutes, Cristi Măgherușan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vulturii Lipova and the F.C. APULUM players grew even worse after the yellow card. Cristi Măgherușan kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. When Cristi Măgherușan was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 69 minutes had been played. Valeriu Jitaru's shot from long distance in the 70th minute was not bad at all, but Vulturii Lipova's Nicu Enachescu knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. After 83 minutes, Felix Simionaş mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the F.C. APULUM and the Vulturii Lipova players grew even worse after the yellow card. If Tudor Panin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 90 minutes into the game, Nicolae Iosub was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vulturii Lipova's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave F.C. APULUM the free kick. In the 91st minute, Nicolae Iosub hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
