Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Eric Bulzan started the match with the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fabian Butnaru in the 3rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ciprian Zăvoianu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Damian Dumitrachescu in the 5th minute of play forced Cotofene's goalkeeper Ciprian Zăvoianu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eric Bulzan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Narcis Ispas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ciprian Zăvoianu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabian Butnaru in the 11th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in CsMotru's zone, Eric Bulzan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Narcis Ispas came out of the goal and Eric Bulzan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eric Bulzan struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Narcis Ispas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cotofene. Damian Dumitrachescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Ciprian Zăvoianu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 22 minutes of play, CsMotru's Damian Dumitrachescu made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ciprian Zăvoianu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Fabian Butnaru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ciprian Zăvoianu having to interfere. When Teodor Ungur fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cotofene's protests and gave Teodor Ungur a yellow card for diving instead. Teodor Ungur hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Cotofene's Ciprian Zăvoianu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabian Butnaru in the 40th minute of play. Ciprian Zăvoianu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fabian Butnaru went, in the 43rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Eric Bulzan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Damian Dumitrachescu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Eric Bulzan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Narcis Ispas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cotofene's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Damian Dumitrachescu 54 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-3. The supporters of Cotofene booed when CsMotru was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ionică Stroia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ciprian Zăvoianu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fabian Butnaru went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Narcis Ispas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gică Grămescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Gică Grămescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 75th minute, Ionică Stroia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 76thth minute of the game Gică Grămescu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but CsMotru's Narcis Ispas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Damian Dumitrachescu struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Ciprian Zăvoianu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CsMotru. Eric Bulzan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Narcis Ispas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. Narcis Ispas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gică Grămescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. After some careless play in the CsMotru defense, Gică Grămescu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Narcis Ispas. The CsMotru fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Narcis Ispas should have stopped the shot. CsMotru's Damian Dumitrachescu was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 88th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. After 93 played minutes CsMotru got a freekick which was hit by Nichifor Crivac. 94 minutes into the match, Cotofene's Gică Răduța broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Gică Grămescu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Narcis Ispas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched CsMotru eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
