When Costin Ciompec fell near the penalty area in the 2nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Miroslava's protests and gave Costin Ciompec a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Stanestii FC booed when FC Miroslava was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Costin Ciompec didn't get a good kick on the ball. FC Miroslava's Eduard Covrig played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cornel Runcu in the 7th minute of play. In the 8th minute, Nicodim Steriopol hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ionel Bourceanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eduard Covrig having to interfere. 12 minutes into the game, Stanestii FC's Leontin Bârsan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eduard Covrig made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Eduard Covrig took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ionel Bourceanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to FC Miroslava getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Codrin Trif hit a great ball. 17 minutes into the match, Stanestii FC's Nicolae Mihuț broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Eduard Covrig stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Leontin Bârsan's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. Maxim Iovan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Leontin Bârsan came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Stanestii FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leontin Bârsan couldn't finish the play. Liviu Bobeica received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Maxim Iovan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Leontin Bârsan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Leontin Bârsan's late challenge caught a FC Miroslava's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After 78 minutes of play, FC Miroslava's Liviu Bobeica made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Maxim Iovan was left in no man's land by his defense there! Liviu Bobeica succeeded in the game's 81st minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leontin Bârsan in the 85th minute of play forced FC Miroslava's goalkeeper Eduard Covrig to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, FC Miroslava's Mugurel Vieru got a free kick in the 86th minute. Liviu Bobeica received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Maxim Iovan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 91 minutes into the match, Stanestii FC's goal looked a bit too open when Liviu Bobeica came free, but Maxim Iovan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Ionel Bourceanu came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Stanestii FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ionel Bourceanu couldn't finish the play.
