Ştefan Grindeanu took the ball and in the 5 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Matei Gârdan. Matei Gârdan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ştefan Grindeanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cazimir Dimofte in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Octav Manciulea prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 20th minute, Ştefan Grindeanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 24 minutes, Claudiu Trifu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sohodolu CSS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Claudiu Trifu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eliodor Alexandroae hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Cazimir Dimoftes short, quick shot in the 35thth minute got Octav Manciulea to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Matei Gârdan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudiu Trifu in the 37th minute of play. Silviu Mihuț fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Octav Manciulea having to interfere. 71 minutes into the match, Sohodolu CSS's Claudiu Trifu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Matei Gârdan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Matei Gârdan was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Damian Cozma. Remus Mândru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Octav Manciulea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sohodolu CSS's Claudiu Trifu got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Sohodolu CSS supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Sohodolu CSS would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
