Filip Dincă made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adrian Miroiu in the 3rd minute of play. Avram Ionescu's late challenge caught a Smirna's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Avram Ionescu helped the player get up and apologised. Avram Ionescu hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Smirna's Claudiu Itu got a free kick in the 5th minute. After having played for 7 minutes, Adrian Miroiu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Smirna's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adrian Miroiu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 16th minute, Adrian Miroiu reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Filip Dincă. The goal made the score 1-0. 19 minutes into the match, Smirna's goal looked a bit too open when Mihnea Mavrodin came free, but Vintilă Olariu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucian Negulescu in the 34th minute of play forced Carjei's goalkeeper Filip Dincă to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lucian Negulescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ionuț Ilica hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Iustinian Flintașu made a kick off. After 52 played minutes Smirna got a freekick which was hit by Francisc Moiș. 55 minutes into the match, Smirna's Lucian Negulescu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Filip Dincă narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Paul Buciu fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Carjei's protests and gave Paul Buciu a yellow card for diving instead. Paul Buciu kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Smirna's Lucian Negulescu got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Smirna getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Mihnea Chiriță hit a great ball. Vintilă Olariu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mihnea Mavrodin in the 66th minute. Smirna's Vintilă Olariu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gheorghe Aluneanu in the 77th minute of play. In the 78th match minute, Smirna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudiu Itu to maneuver through the defense. After 80 played minutes Smirna got a freekick which was hit by Mihnea Chiriță. If Iustinian Flintașu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Adrian Miroiu scored 3-0 in the 83rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Filip Dincă, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 88 minutes into the match, Carjei's goal looked a bit too open when Adrian Miroiu came free, but Filip Dincă reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Adrian Miroiu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Filip Dincă tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Carjei players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Smirna.
