After a rather tough play, Dridif's Andrei Ghișerel got a free kick in the 5th minute. In the 8thth minute of the game Remus Hârtopanu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Ceaușescu 1947 Unit's Dinu Cârneci was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dridif's defense didn't have a chance, in the 10th minute, when Iordache Sichitiu scored to the left of an out of position Alin Hobjilă, making the score, 1-0. Alin Hobjilă was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Eric Brânzaru showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 14 minute of play. Dinu Cârneci made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Racoviță in the 17th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in FC Ceaușescu 1947 Unit's zone, Remus Hârtopanu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dinu Cârneci came out of the goal and Remus Hârtopanu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dridif's Daniel Racoviță got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Andrei Ghișerel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of FC Ceaușescu 1947 Unit booed when Dridif was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ciprian Iurașcu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dinu Cârneci made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Remus Hârtopanu in the 34th minute of play. Eric Brânzaru struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Alin Hobjilă didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Ceaușescu 1947 Unit. In the 45th minute Eric Brânzaru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alin Hobjilă saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alin Hobjilă made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eric Brânzaru in the 47th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Eric Brânzaru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alin Hobjilă having to interfere. FC Ceaușescu 1947 Unit's Eric Brânzaru got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dinu Cârneci made an important save on a dangerous shot by Remus Hârtopanu in the 80th minute.
