Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Galaţi AS's Vlad Şimoc started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Vlad Şimoc got in the 6th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Eliodor Varga handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Ionuț Hagi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Codrin Tănăsocă tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Silviu Lazăr fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Codrin Tănăsocă having to interfere. Nichifor Pipirig's late challenge caught a F.C. Gunners's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nichifor Pipirig helped the player get up and apologised. Nichifor Pipirig hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. In the 20th minute, Ionuț Hagi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 24th minute F.C. Gunners were awarded a corner. Marin Avram went to the cornerflag to take it. A collision led to F.C. Gunners getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Marcel Chiru hit a great ball. When Ionuț Hagi came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the F.C. Gunners fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ionuț Hagi couldn't finish the play. Codrin Tănăsocă made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silviu Lazăr in the 34th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Silviu Lazăr's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Codrin Tănăsocă was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. Lucrețiu Agrigoroaiei sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nichifor Pipirig kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Silviu Lazăr to strike the kick off in the second half. Lucrețiu Agrigoroaiei received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Eliodor Varga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silviu Lazăr in the 55th minute of play forced Galaţi AS's goalkeeper Codrin Tănăsocă to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ionuț Hagi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Silviu Lazăr fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Codrin Tănăsocă having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vlad Şimoc in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eliodor Varga saved F.C. Gunners from getting behind. 65 minutes into the match, F.C. Gunners's Silviu Lazăr sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Codrin Tănăsocă narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Eliodor Varga came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by Galaţi AS's Vlad Şimoc. But to his dismay, Vlad Şimoc quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. In the 73rd minute, one of Galaţi AS:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Galaţi AS. 79 minutes into the match, F.C. Gunners's goal looked a bit too open when Lucrețiu Agrigoroaiei came free, but Eliodor Varga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 82ndth minute of the game Vlad Şimoc who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but F.C. Gunners's Eliodor Varga was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 86th minute, Gelu Cocârlă hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vlad Şimoc received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Eliodor Varga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lucrețiu Agrigoroaiei fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eliodor Varga having to interfere. Eliodor Varga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mugur Bulzan, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Galaţi AS were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of F.C. Gunners for a fine match.
