Tudor Săvescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Ionuț Harbuz came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Pietraria fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ionuț Harbuz couldn't finish the play. Ionuț Harbuz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Octav Bărnuțiu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cazimir Alucusan hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Grigore Bejgăneanu, 10 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Pietraria's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tudor Săvescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tudor Săvescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Octav Bărnuțiu having to interfere. 22 minutes into the match, -GMT- FC Corvinul's goalkeeper Octav Bărnuțiu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tudor Săvescu. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ionuț Harbuz in the 23rd minute of play forced -GMT- FC Corvinul's goalkeeper Octav Bărnuțiu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tudor Săvescu struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Octav Bărnuțiu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pietraria. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ionuț Harbuz in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Octav Bărnuțiu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Emil Caciulescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Petruț Joja, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Pietraria players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
