Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Ionică Coșeriu started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 4th minute the ball was on its way in behind ACS Unirea Curtești's goalkeeper Leonardo Ibar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Eduard Hapainas short, quick shot in the 6thth minute got Iurie Muntian to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 7 minutes into the game, Marcu Andrițoiu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ciopirteni's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ACS Unirea Curtești the free kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eduard Hapaina in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Iurie Muntian prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Leonardo Ibar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ionică Coșeriu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ciopirteni's Iurie Muntian proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Ciopirteni from getting a goal against them. After 21 played minutes Ciopirteni got a freekick which was hit by Dragoş Voiculescu. If Dacian Antohi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tiberiu Papadima hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Leonardo Ibar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ionică Coșeriu in the 30th minute of play. The supporters of ACS Unirea Curtești booed when Ciopirteni was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nistor Bacanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Eduard Hapaina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Iurie Muntian took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eduard Hapaina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ionică Coșeriu in the 45th minute of play forced ACS Unirea Curtești's goalkeeper Leonardo Ibar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

If Dacian Antohi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ciopirteni's goalkeeper Iurie Muntian, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Leonardo Ibar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ionică Coșeriu, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. If Dacian Antohi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpected shot in the 79th minute by Ionică Coșeriu got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Tiberiu Papadima charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tiberiu Papadima the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Tiberiu Papadima kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Ciopirteni's Ion Băbescu shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 82nd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Leonardo Ibar but with some difficulty. When the match clock showed 87 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Eduard Hapaina sped through Ciopirteni's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Iurie Muntian. After having played for 95 minutes, Dacian Antohi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ACS Unirea Curtești's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dacian Antohi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Ciopirteni walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
