The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Iosif Chioreanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristi Timofte in the 3rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ferdinand Codreanu in the 5th minute of play forced Sirna CS's goalkeeper Sorin Siadbei to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Ciprian Ielciu came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Hidegvolgy CF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ciprian Ielciu couldn't finish the play. When David Bâlea fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sirna CS's protests and gave David Bâlea a yellow card for diving instead. In the 8th match minute, Sirna CS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Bâlea to maneuver through the defense. 9 minutes into the match, Sirna CS's goal looked a bit too open when Ferdinand Codreanu came free, but Sorin Siadbei reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Toader Suşu kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. The attack was good, but when Ciprian Ielciu in the 11th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. If Constantin Tănase had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Hidegvolgy CF getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Moise Grigoroiu hit a great ball. In the 16th minute Cristi Timofte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iosif Chioreanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristi Timofte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Iosif Chioreanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 27th match minute, Hidegvolgy CF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Moise Grigoroiu to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Cristi Timofte managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sirna CS's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristi Timofte was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Iosif Chioreanu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Iosif Chioreanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristi Timofte in the 30th minute of the match. In the 31st minute, Toader Suşu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ciprian Ielciu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sorin Siadbei having to interfere. Sorin Siadbei stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ciprian Ielciu's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. If Constantin Tănase had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ferdinand Codreanu to strike the kick off in the second half. Hidegvolgy CF's supporters rose to their feet, but Ciprian Ielciu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cristi Timofte's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Iosif Chioreanu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. In the 75th match minute, Sirna CS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eliodor Cucerzan to maneuver through the defense. Hidegvolgy CF's Iosif Chioreanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Constantin Tănase in the 81st minute of play. In the 83rd minute, Cristi Timofte got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 87th minute Cristi Timofte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iosif Chioreanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
