Ionică Scutaru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Grigore Stănciulescu in the 9th minute of play. When Fantani's Grigore Stănciulescu in the 10th minute got a chance for a shot 10th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Resita Sport Club's goalie prevented a goal. Ionică Scutaru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Grigore Stănciulescu in the 11th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Iustin Brădescu got free with Gavril Grecu in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Resita Sport Club's Ioan Argăseală suffered a sore thigh after 13 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 13 minutes, Cezar Cercelescu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fantani and the Resita Sport Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Fantani getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Cezar Cercelescu hit a great ball. Dan Duca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Costin Stoian kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Ionică Scutaru showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Grigore Stănciulescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Resita Sport Club's Ionică Scutaru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Răzvan Dancu in the 32nd minute of play. A collision led to Resita Sport Club getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Dan Duca hit a great ball. After having played for 36 minutes, Cristi Cobâlcescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Resita Sport Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristi Cobâlcescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Grigore Stănciulescu in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ionică Scutaru saved Resita Sport Club from getting behind. Iustin Brădescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Gavril Grecu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Fantani were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Iustin Brădescu made a kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Resita Sport Club's goal looked a bit too open when Grigore Stănciulescu came free, but Ionică Scutaru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dan Duca charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dan Duca the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 56th minute, Dan Duca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 57th match minute, Resita Sport Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Octav Dersidan to maneuver through the defense. In the 66th minute, Cezar Cercelescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gavril Grecu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iustin Brădescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 68 minutes in the game, Grigore Stănciulescu dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Grigore Stănciulescu in the 71st minute of play forced Resita Sport Club's goalkeeper Ionică Scutaru to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Resita Sport Club's zone, Răzvan Dancu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ionică Scutaru came out of the goal and Răzvan Dancu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Grigore Stănciulescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Ionică Scutaru tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 80 minutes of play, Resita Sport Club's Cristi Cobâlcescu made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gavril Grecu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Valeriu Otețea hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. 2-1 became the score in the 90th minute when Iustin Brădescu elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Iustin Brădescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Resita Sport Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Iustin Brădescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gavril Grecu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Resita Sport Club's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
