The audience was convinced that Gigi Traianescu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Teodor Zăvoiu was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eduardo Rivero to make the kick off. Vulturu. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Teodor Zăvoiu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mihail Postelnicu in the 61st minute of play. Gigi Traianescu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Teodor Zăvoiu having to make a save. Emanuel Vârnav came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by F.C. Vulturu.'s Eduardo Rivero. But to his dismay, Eduardo Rivero quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. If Costică Lupșoiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Teodor Zăvoiu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gigi Traianescu in the 81st minute of play. Petru Milea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Emanuel Vârnav tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. F.C. Vulturu. walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
