Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Matei Ipate kicked off to start the match. Eric Dică came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by Teii Petroșani's Matei Ipate. But to his dismay, Matei Ipate quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Remus Poplăcan during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Gledeny's Remus Poplăcan got a free kick in the 8th minute. Eric Dică stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vali Ghițulescu's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mircea Baldu during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Mircea Baldu hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Eric Dică showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vali Ghițulescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Teii Petroșani's Tudor Capșuneanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Octav Codrea in the 19th minute of play. When Matei Ipate fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Teii Petroșani's protests and gave Matei Ipate a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Teii Petroșani's Matei Ipate got a free kick in the 20th minute. Teii Petroșani's Octav Arghirescu was substituted for Matei Ipate. A collision led to Teii Petroșani getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Matei Ipate hit a great ball. Tudor Capșuneanu made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Mircea Cângea sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Octav Codrea in the 31st minute of play forced Teii Petroșani's goalkeeper Tudor Capșuneanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Teii Petroșani getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Eduard Bântu hit a great ball. Octav Codrea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tudor Capșuneanu having to interfere. In the 36th minute of the match Dacian Rizea shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tudor Capșuneanu showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vali Ghițulescu in the 37th minute of play forced Gledeny's goalkeeper Eric Dică to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Flavius Codru charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Flavius Codru the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Teii Petroșani booed when Gledeny was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Flavius Codru didn't get a good kick on the ball. 40 minutes into the match, Teii Petroșani's goalkeeper Tudor Capșuneanu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mircea Cângea. An unexpected shot in the 42nd minute by Mircea Cângea got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 43rd match minute, Gledeny was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dacian Rizea to maneuver through the defense. If Mircea Cângea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Octav Codrea made a kick off. After 53rd play minutes Mircea Cângea shot 2-1, a short shot which went by Tudor Capșuneanu and just under the crossbar into goal. If Lucrețiu Curteanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 58th minute, Remus Poplăcan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Mircea Cângea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Mircea Cângea came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Gledeny fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mircea Cângea couldn't finish the play. Lucrețiu Curteanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eric Dică made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucrețiu Curteanu in the 72nd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Octav Arghirescu during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Teii Petroșani's Octav Arghirescu got a free kick in the 85th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Teii Petroșani's zone, Flavius Codru stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tudor Capșuneanu came out of the goal and Flavius Codru tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 93 minutes, Eduard Bântu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Teii Petroșani and the Gledeny players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Teii Petroșani's Eduard Bântu got a free kick in the 93rd minute. After 96 played minutes Lucrețiu Curteanu rounded Gledeny's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-2. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
