Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Gigi Drăgoi started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. When Flavius Codru fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gledeny's protests and gave Flavius Codru a yellow card for diving instead. Gledeny's defense didn't have a chance, in the 8th minute, when Gigi Drăgoi scored to the left of an out of position Eric Dică, making the score, 1-0. After having played for 12 minutes, Gigi Drăgoi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vederea AC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gigi Drăgoi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eric Dică didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 17th minute, which inside left pole to 2-0. Flavius Codru hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. 24 minutes into the match, Gledeny's goal looked a bit too open when Gigi Drăgoi came free, but Eric Dică reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 25th minute, Gigi Drăgoi made a precise shot to the right of Eric Dică. Gledeny's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. 27 minutes into the match, Gledeny's goal looked a bit too open when Gigi Drăgoi came free, but Eric Dică reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 29 played minutes Gledeny got a freekick which was hit by Dacian Rizea. In the 36th match minute, Vederea AC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Francisc Pop to maneuver through the defense. If Calistrat Sântimbrean had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 45 played minutes Calistrat Sântimbrean rounded Gledeny's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 4-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Octav Codrea made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Remus Poplăcan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eric Dică showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Petruț Siniştean in the 52nd minute of the match. Eric Dică didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Laurențiu Anghel went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. Through an outstanding action, after 57 minutes, Ivan Frumușanu successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Ivan Frumușanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mircea Cângea in the 66th minute of play. A collision led to Vederea AC getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Francisc Pop hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Calistrat Sântimbrean in the 72nd minute of play forced Gledeny's goalkeeper Eric Dică to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Flavius Codru kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ivan Frumușanu. That made the score 5-1 in the 80 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gigi Drăgoi in the 84th minute of play forced Gledeny's goalkeeper Eric Dică to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Calistrat Sântimbrean fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eric Dică having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mircea Baldu during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 91st minute, one of Gledeny:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Gledeny. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Vederea AC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Gledeny had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
