Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Matei Ipate kicked off to start the match. Ivan Frumușanu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eduard Bântu went, in the 3rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 6 minutes into the game, Vederea AC's Gigi Drăgoi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tudor Capșuneanu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Tudor Capșuneanu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gigi Drăgoi's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. In the 11th match minute, Teii Petroșani was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eduard Bântu to maneuver through the defense. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Teii Petroșani's goalkeeper Tudor Capșuneanu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ivan Frumușanu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vali Ghițulescu went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. In the 21st minute, Gelu Alucai hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vederea AC's Gigi Drăgoi got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 42 minutes into the game, Gigi Drăgoi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vederea AC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Teii Petroșani the free kick. In the 42nd minute, Gigi Drăgoi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpected shot in the 44th minute by Gigi Drăgoi got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 46 minutes into the match, Teii Petroșani's goal looked a bit too open when Calistrat Sântimbrean came free, but Tudor Capșuneanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half Teii Petroșani were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gigi Drăgoi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The Vederea AC fans' excitement grew in the 55th match minute when Vederea AC's Gigi Drăgoi looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Denis Isărescu hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. After 73 played minutes Vederea AC got a freekick which was hit by Gelu Alucai. With a little luck, Vederea AC's Ivan Frumușanu got control of the ball when Vali Ghițulescu tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 77th minute, Vali Ghițulescu fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. 80 minutes into the game, Petruț Siniştean was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vederea AC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Teii Petroșani the free kick. In the 80th minute, Petruț Siniştean hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 85 played minutes Vederea AC got a freekick which was hit by Gigi Drăgoi. The supporters of Teii Petroșani booed when Vederea AC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iustin Ciordaș didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Teii Petroșani had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
