Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Dinu Meleșcanu took the kick off in the first half of the match. Francisc Ghișerel came out of the goal in the 3rd minute to try and stop a shot by FCSB Steaua's Francisc Teaşcă. But to his dismay, Francisc Teaşcă quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. After a rather tough play, Andronache's Dinu Meleșcanu got a free kick in the 6th minute. 7 minutes into the game, Andronache's Octav Şerb nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cezar Joja made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Eric Dancu scored 1-2 in the 11th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cezar Joja, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 14 minutes into the match, Octav Şerb had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cezar Joja. FCSB Steaua's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Octav Şerb was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Cezar Joja didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dinu Meleșcanu went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. A collision led to FCSB Steaua getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Francisc Teaşcă hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Francisc Teaşcă took a quick shot and it went in 2-4 without a chance for Francisc Ghișerel to make any attempt to save it. In the 33rd minute Francisc Teaşcă shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francisc Ghișerel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 36th minute, Corneliu Carabulea got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 37 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for FCSB Steaua! After having played for 44 minutes, Dorel Petriceanu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FCSB Steaua's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dorel Petriceanu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Disappointed in the 2-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mihăiţă Gologan to make the kick off. When FCSB Steaua's Mihăiţă Gologan in the 52nd minute got a chance for a shot 52nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Andronache's goalie prevented a goal. Francisc Ghișerel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Corneliu Carabulea in the 55th minute of play. Cezar Joja made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eric Dancu in the 60th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Andronache's zone, Mihăiţă Gologan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Francisc Ghișerel came out of the goal and Mihăiţă Gologan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Francisc Teaşcă received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Francisc Ghișerel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, FCSB Steaua's Gheorghe Buricea got a free kick in the 69th minute. When Dinu Meleșcanu, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 70 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Cezar Joja was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Corneliu Carabulea recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cezar Joja was out of position in the 77 minute of play, and Dinu Meleșcanu capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Dinu Meleșcanu really showed his touch with that goal: 2-6. Corneliu Carabulea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eric Dancu kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. FCSB Steaua's Cezar Joja played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eric Dancu in the 95th minute of play. Andronache were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over FCSB Steaua's much stronger midfield.
