After some careless play in the FCSB Steaua defense, Andrei Rădoi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cezar Joja. The FCSB Steaua fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cezar Joja should have stopped the shot. Cezar Joja didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Andrei Rădoi went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Dumitru Oancea charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dumitru Oancea the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 25th match minute, Gogora was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dumitru Oancea to maneuver through the defense. Cezar Joja showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andrei Rădoi, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. FCSB Steaua's Mihail Zburliş got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over FCSB Steaua's much stronger midfield.
