Emanuel Chiose made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Emanuel Chiose made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Laurențiu Abutnăriței in the 9th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Laurențiu Abutnăriței in the 12th minute of play forced Bulaia's goalkeeper Emanuel Chiose to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Petruț Tătăruşanu charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Petruț Tătăruşanu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Bulaia's Petruț Tătăruşanu got a free kick in the 15th minute. Emanuel Chiose took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dan Barbăsură, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Laurențiu Abutnăriței's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Emanuel Chiose read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. Basarab Panțâru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 28 played minutes CIP Media got a freekick which was hit by Emanuel Loga. Viorel Senin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Basarab Panțâru, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 35th minute, Dan Barbăsură hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 39 minutes of play, CIP Media's Iustin Macovei made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Emanuel Chiose was left in no man's land by his defense there! Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Laurențiu Abutnăriței was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Iustin Macovei got free with Emanuel Chiose in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Bulaia's Emilian Iancu got a free kick in the 56th minute. In the 62nd minute, CIP Media's Iustin Macovei dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. Emanuel Chiose made an important save on a dangerous shot by Laurențiu Abutnăriței in the 66th minute. A collision led to Bulaia getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Gică Cristocea hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Valer Coman managed to get in a good position for a shot. CIP Media's supporters rose to their feet, but Valer Coman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emanuel Chiose breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 69 minutes into the match, Bulaia's goalkeeper Emanuel Chiose had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Iustin Macovei. Laurențiu Abutnăriței fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emanuel Chiose having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Iustin Macovei got free with Emanuel Chiose in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Emanuel Loga hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Bulaia's Emilian Iancu got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Iustin Macovei came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the CIP Media fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Iustin Macovei couldn't finish the play. After 87 played minutes CIP Media got a freekick which was hit by Dan Barbăsură. When Basarab Panțâru came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Bulaia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Basarab Panțâru couldn't finish the play. CIP Media's Viorel Senin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Basarab Panțâru in the 91st minute of play. The CIP Media supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing CIP Media would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
