CIP Media's Laurențiu Abutnăriței got a good chance for a goal in the 2nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Moise Căplescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emanuel Loga, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. After a rather tough play, Gelu CS's Cazimir Pușcariu got a free kick in the 7th minute. When Remus Cucerzan fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CIP Media's protests and gave Remus Cucerzan a yellow card for diving instead. Remus Cucerzan kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Viorel Senin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcu Romoşan in the 11th minute of the match. Viorel Senin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcel Codreanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. In the 14th minute, Iustin Macovei made a precise shot to the right of Moise Căplescu. Gelu CS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. When the match had gone on for 17 minutes, Laurențiu Abutnăriței took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Moise Căplescu to make any attempt to save it. Laurențiu Abutnăriței who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 23rdth minute tested the skills of Moise Căplescu when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Eliodor Lupea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Viorel Senin having to interfere. In the 26th minute, Dan Barbăsură hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 27th minute of the match Marcu Romoşan shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Viorel Senin showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Viorel Senin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eliodor Lupea, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 30 minutes, Moise Căplescu successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 31 minutes into the match, Gelu CS's goalkeeper Moise Căplescu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Iustin Macovei. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliodor Lupea in the 34th minute of play forced CIP Media's goalkeeper Viorel Senin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eliodor Lupea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Viorel Senin having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

56 minutes into the game, Iustin Macovei cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Moise Căplescu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 61stth minute of the game Iustin Macovei who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gelu CS's Moise Căplescu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Laurențiu Abutnăriței had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of CIP Media booed when Gelu CS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marian Stoicescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Laurențiu Abutnăriței in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Moise Căplescu saved Gelu CS from getting behind. In the 67th minute Iustin Macovei shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Moise Căplescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 69 minutes, the score became 3-1 when Eliodor Lupea sped through CIP Media's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Viorel Senin. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Iustin Macovei in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Moise Căplescu saved Gelu CS from getting behind. The tension between the Gelu CS and the CIP Media players grew even worse after the yellow card. Marcel Codreanu struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Viorel Senin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gelu CS. Moise Căplescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iustin Macovei in the 94th minute of play. Marcel Codreanu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Viorel Senin having to make a save. CIP Media's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
